Must have a library card from
the Palm Beach County Library System.

The Main Library and North
County Regional, which have computer labs, may proctor online
examinations. All PBC Libraries may proctor written
examinations.

Tests can be received only
through the U.S. Postal Service or delivery services such as
FedEx or UPS. No emailed or faxed examinations will be accepted.

Library staff will make an
effort to contact the student when the library receives the exam
if contact information is provided in advance or by the
institution. However, the student is ultimately responsible for
confirming that the exam has been received.

Student is required to make an
advance appointment at the Reference Desk to schedule a
date/time to take the exam. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Library staff cannot provide
direct in-room supervision during the exam.

Library staff will not explain
exam questions or provide any assistance during the exam.

Library staff will not sign
the proctoring affidavit if test requirements are more than
staff is able to do.

At the completion of the
written exam, the library will return the exam directly to the
issuing institution through the U.S. Postal Service at the next
regularly scheduled pickup from the library. In certain
instances, the library may be able to return the exam by fax if
to a toll free or local number, or may use FedEx/UPS if there is
regular service to that library.

The student or institution is
responsible for all postage costs. The appropriate amount of
postage (stamps) must be supplied at the completion of the exam.
The exam will be held at the library until postage or pre-paid
FedEx/UPS is provided.
