The Palm Beach County Library
System hosted its Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon and
Awards Ceremony, "You Make the Difference," at the Airport
Hilton, on April 6. Over 200 guests enjoyed lunch and the
comradery. Guest speakers included Library Director Jerry W.
Brownlee, Jeff Rice, North Area Coordinator, and Betty Bell,
President of the Friends of the Library.
Outstanding awards were presented to:

Youth Award:
Suzanne Aparicio, with library staff members Julie Brown
(Southwest County), Karyn Dombrowsky (Southwest County) and
Aurora Arthay (South Area Coordinator).

Adult Award: Xiomara
Valle, with library staff member Douglas Crane (Electronic
Resources)

Director's Award:
Bill Myers, with library staff member Carol Roggenstein (North
County)
Five-Year Service Awards were
presented to Ellen Bauer, Rosemary Buchanan, Phyllis Cohen,
Alice Kosh, Barbara Krastin, Anne Schwadron, Gertrude Stevens,
and Terry Wilson. A Ten-Year Service Award went to
Eleanor Greenberg. Twenty-Year Service Awards
were given to Gertrude Miller and Renee Nadel.
